Shoppers Provide Hope to Women In Need at the Elaine Turner Holiday Event

The weather outside may be frightful, but giving back is so delightful! That's exactly what the ladies that joined Elaine Turner in celebrating the 12 Days of Christmas did last night at the Elaine Turner Holiday event benefitting The Women's Home.

Guests were suggested to bring gently used handbags and shoes to give hope to the women at The Women's Home, a houston based charity. Shoppers were rewarded for their giving spirit with coupons and discounts from Elaine Turner to be used on festive accessories from the designer.

Elaine Turner's Holiday event also featured native Texan jewelry designer, Hazel Smyth who enticed shoppers with glam baubles just in time for the holidays. A couple of lucky ladies that entered the $5 raffle went home with accessories ranging from a pair of Boo flats in Pailet to a red Bella clutch bag. Fifteen percent of proceeds went to benefit The Women's Home.

The 12 Days of Christmas are not over yet! Elaine Turner continues to accept donations of gently used handbags and shoes thru December 16th. So dust off that "IT" bag from a couple of seasons ago, donate it to Elaine Turner for The Women's Home and come home with your new favorite.

Muse Secret Santa Party

Last night Muse and local jewelry designer, Hila Graham, played host to a secret santa party benefitting Texas Children's Hospital. The bubbly bubbled and jewels sparkled as guests shopped for a cause and previewed the acclaimed designer's holiday line. The stylish shoppers checked items off their list while stuffing the stockings of Texas Children's Hospital patients. Ladies lined up as Craig McLemore, Michael Kemper Salon's make up maven to the stars, shaped brows and left no holiday face unmade. Glitter is hot this holiday season! Even Billy, the Muse goldendoodle, was tired after all of the fun.

In the crowd: Muse owners, Lindsay Mousoudakis and Margaret Morris, Tena Faust, Tama Lundquist, Mary Hart, Anne Ebert, Karen Henry and Nicole Fertitta, Ashley Goforth, Texas Children's Hospital's Mary Kristen Valentine, Susan Sanders, Cindy Garza, Cathy Fitzpatrick, Kathy Bracewell, Celina Stabell, Minnie Baird, Christine Hoffer, Martha Adger, Shannon Price and Sallie Cruger.

Nationally acclaimed interior designer and architect, Sharon Perry Wise, recently opened the doors of Objects...Lost & Found, a shop dedicated to antique accessories. Nestled among the shops and homes on Houston’s beloved Ferndale, the restored 1930s cottage sells carefully collected treasures from around the world.

“My goal was to create a store where I would want to shop. As an interior designer and architect, I have been an antique lover for years,” said Sharon Perry Wise, Owner of Objects. “Groupings of objects are more interesting to me than a single object, so you’ll find various collections including lamps, ink wells and majolica. Although Objects does carry furniture, we separate ourselves from other antique stores by also providing many home accessories. Accessories finish a home and make it more personal.”

Located at 2815 Ferndale, Objects offers one of a kind home accessories such as lamps, birdcages, tea caddies, chandeliers, sconces, decorative boxes and plates, inkwells and furniture all ranging in price and prominence. Sharon has designed the store for easy perusing of the unusual and eclectic finds. A wall of lamps lights up the room and a table with bird’s nests makes for a decorative sight.
